On shaded or damp elevations, cladding becomes a breeding ground for algae, moss, and lichen. Blasting these living organisms with high pressure is a mistake. It leaves microscopic spores behind, causing them to return thicker. Instead, we use gentle biological washes that sanitise the surface, killing growth at the root so panels stay cleaner for longer.

Properties near busy roads, railways, or industrial estates suffer from electrostatic carbon. Its a greasy, baked-on film of soot and exhaust emissions. This inorganic dirt bonds chemically to the panels. Rather than using abrasive scrubbing that scratches cladding, we use specialized emulsifiers that break this chemical bond, allowing us to rinse the soot away safely.
The chemicals to restore cladding are all eco-friendly and bio-degradable, reducing the environmental footprint of our work. Our staff undergo regular training from site safety to chemical application techniques to ensure the exceptional quality of our work. All staff are supplied with uniforms and are polite.

We do not use generic industrial detergents. Before we specify a project, we check the manufacturer’s technical datasheets. For instance, plastic-coated steel cladding requires strictly pH-neutral surfactants, whereas anodised aluminium can tolerate mild, non-abrasive acidic solutions to clear heavy oxidation, but never high-alkaline cleaners which cause immediate pitting. Our treatments are selected to stay well within the chemical tolerances specified by the panel manufacturers, protecting both your building and your warranty.
We work systematically from the top down, keeping our low-pressure rinse lines at a steep, downward angle that mimics natural heavy rainfall. We identify weathered gaskets, failed expansion joints, and compromised mastic seals before we start. Where these vulnerabilities exist, we adjust our approach, using dry hand-scraping or highly targeted, near-pressureless damp wiping to clean the surrounding areas without forcing water into the building envelope.
If a contractor washes industrial carbon film and heavy chemical emulsifiers directly into your surface water grates, you—as the property owner or facilities manager—can be prosecuted for environmental pollution. Surface water drains usually lead directly into local rivers and streams, unlike foul drains which go to treatment plants.
We treat environmental compliance as a primary operational requirement. Under our PA1, PA6, and PA6AW qualifications, we assess the site’s drainage layout before work begins. We physically block surface water gullies using inflatable drain bungs or chemical absorbent booms. We collect the chemical runoff at the base of the building, neutralize the pH, and either pump it into the foul sewer network (subject to obtaining the necessary temporary trade effluent consent from the local utility provider) or containerize it for safe disposal off-site.
